Departure to Guimarães. On December 13, 2001 UNESCO inscribed the historic center of the city of Guimarães on the World Heritage List. Distinction deserved for a city, full of historical reminiscences, which preserved its heritage and its public spaces for the pleasure of its visitors. For the Portuguese, Guimarães has a very special symbolic value, it was in a field near the walls of his castle that D. Afonso Henriques winner at the Battle of S. Mamede, on June 24, 1128, against the troops of D. Teresa, his mother and daughter of Afonso VI of Castile and Leon, initiated the course that would lead to the construction of the kingdom of Portugal, of which he would be the first king.

Arrival late afternoon in Leiria in the center of the country, dominated by its imposing medieval stronghold.

Breakfast and departure to Batalha, a city that developed around one of the most beautiful Gothic-Manueline monuments in Europe, The Monastery of Santa Maria da Victoria celebrating the victory of the Portuguese on the Spanish troops during the war of hundred years. Continuation towards Fatima where is located one of the most important sanctuaries and place of pilgrimage of the world, following the apparitions of the virgin at the beginning of the 20th century.
Lunch in a local restaurant and departure for Tomar founded in 1157 by Gualdim Pais, the first grand master of the order of the Knights Templar, the city which is dominated by its castle of the twelfth century, houses the convent of Christ, discovered the Charola, the Knights Templar and the heart of the monastery.

Folklore evening dinner and night.
Breakfast departure to the city of Alcobaça, visit its Cistercian monastery where are the tombs of King D. Pedro I (the cruel) and D. Inês de Castro, the Queen who was crowned after his death.
Continuation to Nazaré, undoubtedly the most popular beach of the West Coast, one of the most traditional fishing towns, where we can still meet some women dressed in the traditional dress of seven skirts, who watch the fish that dries in the sun, aligned on stakes.

Departure to the medieval town of Óbidos, which until 1833 was the preserve of the Queens. Tasting of "Ginginha", a typical cherry liqueur tasted in a small chocolate glass.

Breakfast and departure to Lisbon, hymn to colour, remarkably posed on seven hills at the mouth of the Tagus, this city is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful capitals of Europe.
We will discover together the Belém district, whose many prestigious monuments recall the centuries of great maritime discoveries. The Monument to the Discoveries, the elegant Tower of Belém, fortress of the XV built on the Tagus, the Monastery of Jeronimos, testimony of thanks for the discovery by Vasco da Gama of the spice route to India (visit the nave of the Monastery).
Lunch in a restaurant in the heart of the city.
Afternoon visit and free time for shopping in the center of Lisbon "baixa" (the lower town), Praça Dom Pedro IV, better known as Rossio, Praça do Comercio, Rua Augusta, etc ...
Finally, visit the old district of Alfama, a labyrinth with winding streets, wrought iron balconies and panels of Azulejos.
